Can a trip to the dentist EVER be relaxing?

Well, yes! We’re parents too here at Happy Kids Dental, so we understand better than anyone how to help if you have a child with dental anxiety and get them on board with visiting the dentist. From our building to our team and our equipment, we’ve worked hard to make visiting us easy and fun – and to put dental fear firmly where it belongs: in the past. All we ask of you is that you avoid passing your own anxieties or bad experiences on to your child. If they come to us with an open mind, so much the better for creating a lifelong positive relationship with the dentist. Here’s how we do things differently.

Space

No stuffy beige waiting areas here. Our waiting areas are more akin to age-zoned play rooms in which children can run riot with our toys, consoles and iPads. Meanwhile, you can relax with a coffee and catch up on your emails!

Time

We’ll take all the time your child needs to feel relaxed in our care. Our paediatric team is highly experienced treating children with special needs, and when it comes to anxious patients, we do everything in baby steps – we won’t get them in the dental chair unless they are happy and willing to try it out. We also know that for families, time is of the essence – which is why we’re open evenings and weekends, all year long.

Continuity

Happy Kids Dental’s comprehensive in-house service, which includes specialist paediatric and orthodontic care, means we can treat your child from the age of 0 to 18 without needing to refer them elsewhere for more complex treatment. This continuity of care is key to creating a lifelong positive attitude to dental visits.

Prevention

Seeing us regularly from the age of zero onward means your child may never experience dental pain! Our preventive approach, from general check-ups and hygiene through to gentle early orthodontics, has the potential to ensure a lifetime of healthy smiles.

Equipment

From The Wand pain-free anaesthetic to dental sedation, our investment in techniques and technology makes treatment as gentle and pain-free as possible.

If you’re a parent of a child with dental anxiety or special needs, come to Happy Kids Dental for a fresh approach to dentistry. Dental visits with us are not simply relaxing, they’re fun too!
